Jerry Colangelo Classic Postponement

Today, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the postponement of the third annual Air Force Reserve Jerry Colangelo Classic originally scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2020 to December 18, 2021. The one-day quadruple-header was to feature Gonzaga vs. Texas Tech, Arizona State vs. BYU, San Francisco vs. Grand Canyon, and Northern Arizona vs. San Diego.
“The Basketball Hall of Fame has been proud to host the Jerry Colangelo Classic in Phoenix the past two seasons and we’re obviously disappointed the global pandemic has forced us to reschedule our 2020 event,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “Nonetheless, we have every intention of returning in 2021 and are very excited to utilize the many recent arena enhancements to offer our fans a fantastic experience.”

Marc Anthony Postponement

The Marc Anthony event originally scheduled for March 22, 2020 and rescheduled to October 30, 2020 has been postponed. The Marc Anthony show will now take place on August 20, 2021.
Guests are encouraged to hang onto their ticket(s) as it will be honored for the new date, however, we understand circumstances may have changed. Fans who are unable to attend the new concert date will have the opportunity to receive a full refund beginning Thursday, October 8, 2020 through Friday, November 6, 2020 at 5pm local time. Phoenix to host the 2026 Women’s Final Four

On Wednesday, October 14, the NCAA selected Phoenix to host the 2026 Women’s Final Four. The national semifinals are set for Friday, April 3, 2026, in downtown Phoenix, with the national championship game tipping off Sunday, April 5.
Nina King, chair of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee, cited Phoenix’s experience in hosting major championships as a factor in the selection. “Phoenix is a culturally diverse city that is experienced in hosting mega-events and has a proven history of supporting women in sport, business and philanthropy. The current renovation taking place at Talking Stick Resort Arena will elevate and transform that venue into one of the best in the country. We look forward to our student-athletes, coaches and fans being able to experience it for themselves in 2026.”
